Remove EXIF data

Photos carry a hidden record of the camera, the date and often the exact GPS coordinates where the picture was taken. This redraws each image without that record, at full quality.

How to use it

  1. Drop the photos you are about to share.
  2. Leave quality at 95 unless you also want a smaller file.
  3. Save the clean copies.

Questions

Does this change how the photo looks?

At quality 95 the difference is not visible. The file is re-encoded, so the bytes differ, but the picture does not.

Does it remove the location for certain?

Yes. The image is decoded to raw pixels and written out fresh, so no metadata block survives. You can confirm it by checking the file's properties afterwards.

Do social platforms not strip this anyway?

Most do on upload. Files sent over email, WhatsApp documents mode, or shared on a drive keep everything.
